Lifestyle Update

remember a while ago I spoke about a website that involved a woman with the best body I have ever seen, and she is like your own personal trainer at home? well, I have been doing it a little bit each week – maybe 1 or twice, but I also joined the Y and have become a bit of a zumba addict, which I try to get to at least 3 times per week.

The good news is that no-one has asked me if I am pregnant in at least 10 days! I even went to my OB-GYN and she confirmed that I was NOT pregnant! Nor did the doctor leave any apparatus in my uterus after giving birth a year ago. I think I finally came to terms with the fact that after four kids, my stomach muscles have stretched, along with my portion sizes. So– I have cut down radically on my portion sizes, started eating a ton of fruit and veggies to fill me, and my treat is a few choc almonds everyday – a few means 7. And that suffices.

I have lost nearly 7 pounds and 3.5 inches. In about 4 weeks. So I am pretty pleased with that.

By a raise of hands – ahem – I would like to know who would be interested in me posting my weekly family din-din menu, which is very healthy, low fat , high fibre meals? Also been working on some healthy kid friendly recipes.

Let me know if you are interested, and we can all begin on Monday.

  1. I’d like to LOOK at everyone’s menus. My meals are usually leftovers from Shabbat (2 nights a week), pasta one night and dire plight the other night (like, um, tonight). I stink at planning ahead for meals, and when I do, I can’t remember what I planned.

  2. very interested in the meal planning and menues…got one very finicky eater, who is way too pale for my liking….as in concerns of being anemic pale!!! so…all for the protein and fibre solutions. This same child recently decided that what ever she/he likes to eat at home…will NOT do for lunch at school and is VERY effected by comments from classmates. Darn littles brats…can’t they all just keep their little traps closed!!!!
